My Army
I have a small army. They don’t know they’re in it, though. Their job is to go through all of the thoughts that I have and decimate the weak ones, the stupid ones, the lame ones. They’re the friction that allows survival of the fittest.
I ask them, “Am I crazy for wanting to do this?” Sometimes, I get a yes. Sometimes, I get a no. But, I always get honesty. The idea of creative kinship is deeply undervalued. There’s an unspeakable value in presenting an idea in it’s vulnerable, embryonic state to people that you trust wholly.
So, a shout out to Brandon, Duane, Bob, Shane, Ian, Antonio, Don, Kate, Clifton, Meg, Ben and Micah. I’d link to their websites, but I’m talking about people, not work. Thanks.
